Frequently asked questions
Do we pay VAT on your prices?
No, I am not required to be VAT registered, so there is no VAT payable on any of my packages.
Can you provide a piano?
Absolutely! I provide a full live setup for venues without a piano. This includes a digital stage piano and PA system to cater for almost any venue. My soundchecks are thorough to make sure the sound is just right for any occasion.
Can you play in two different rooms?
If you book me for two different rooms (for example ceremony and drinks reception), the set up can be moved with minimal disruption. Alternatively if the move is a little tricky (e.g long distance, different buildings, steps or narrow entrances), a second smaller piano can be provided at no extra cost to enable two separate setups and a smoother transition.
How loud will you be?
During social occasions (such as drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts) my aim is to be noticeable but never overpowering so that conversations can flow. The piano forms a lovely backdrop to social settings and guests will be able to talk comfortably whilst enjoying the music. During wedding ceremonies, the music will be clearly audible to all.
How do we book you?
Please email or use the contact form to check availability of your date. If I am free I will ask you to provide some details and I’ll send through some T&Cs for both our peace of mind. A £100 non-returnable deposit, payable by bank transfer, will secure your date in my diary and the final balance is due one week before your wedding or event.
Can you play outdoors?
Yes, it's a pleasure to play outdoors if the weather allows! I do require a power supply (an outdoor socket or an extension lead from a nearby building) and I ask that there is a back-up plan in the event of rain (e.g. moving indoors or placing the piano under a covered area). On particularly hot days, it's important that I am under shade so that the equipment (and pianist!) doesn’t overheat.
Some venues have licensing restrictions on allowing amplified music outdoors, so please do check this with your venue to make sure they are happy.
